New Policy: Exchange Accept/Do Not Accept

With the new Exchange scheduled to open this fall, ORS is rolling out new policies. The first is the “Accept/Do Not Accept” policy.

In order to best serve the community of Orcas Island, and to make the most effective use of the physical plant known as The Exchange, it is essential to define what items may or may not be accepted as donations. All donations should be clean and in good condition.

The Exchange manager and staff will attempt to assist donors of excluded donations by providing a way for the donor to interact directly with potential private parties on Orcas Island. The Exchange will assume no further responsibility rather than to assist.
